It is the mission of Unity Bridges to relieve individual, social and cultural suffering by creating experiences that inspire people to listen deeply to the different perspectives and realities of others.

We are committed to bringing together people of various socio-economic, racial/ethnic and cultural backgrounds in order to recognize and reconcile our differences, honor our common ground, and empower ourselves to create change in our community. While we strive to impact entire communities, currently it is through communities of women that we accomplish our work.

We envision a community dedicated to the creation of sanctuary in which individuals offer deep attention to one another.  The individual’s perception of reality is valued and inspires critical self-reflection in others.  As collective understanding is intentionally built among people, shared reality is experienced.  Visions of personal, social, and cultural transformation are then imagined and activated.

Sandi...you are deeply missed, deeply cherished, and deeply loved... thank you for all that you taught me and for being part of the vision of the first multicultural women's conference...your dedication to women's circles and healing is something that I carry with me each and every day as a source of inspiration, guidance, and hope...your spirit will remain with us in all that we do as we continue to build this beautiful community of women..  Julie Chavez

Sandi will remain in my heart as a woman of great wisdom and feeling.  She shared so generously.  I am grateful for the gift of knowing her. Mary Wright
